Semi friends-locked

  • May. 19th, 2015 at 7:01 PM

My livejournal used to be completely public but I've started friends-locking certain posts. I still post a lot for everyone to see, but there's still plenty that's just friends-only. But if you want to add me just let me know in the comments. I like meeting new people. ;)

Happy Birthday Jared!

There's no way he sees this, but anyway, Happy 27:th Birthday Jared!

To see what the world looks like outside my work place. Ha. Right now I'd say going to Liseberg with my family. That was great.

Speaking of work; I'm heading there in just a little while. Time to work the night shift.

Time to stop spamming your lj's. :D

Name something you love but feel like you should have grown out of by now.

I have such a soft spot for stuffed animals and teddybears. I still buy some occasionally. But I will never get rid of my big white bunny I got when I was 5 years old. It's sitting on my bed and I will always keep it in my bedroom. I really love it. Her name is Ninis, by the way. Ninis is a short nickname of endearment for Kanin, which means rabbit in Swedish. Named her that when I was 5. :)

mostly a post to congratulate a friend

Just got back from seeing the new Harry Potter movie. It was really great and had some really funny moments and sad ones. But I bet the 7:th one, part 1 and 2, will be even more awesome. There won't be any spoilers here. Just wanted to say I loved it! :)

Before that I met up with my friend Sophia who I hadn't seen in a while. We had a great time catching up and then headed towards the city centre where we went to some stores. I bought two books for the Italy trip. One about what you can do in Rome and one with phrases and words in Italian. I also bought some scrapbook stuff. (That really wasn't needed. I just wanted to.)

So, on to the tribute. Today I dedicate this post to Sophia who got engaged a few months ago and became an aunt to a baby girl called Minerva. (And yes, I had to make a joke about Minerva McGonagall from Harry Potter when I heard it.) Her fiancé had videotaped when he proposed to her, that I watched on his blog. It was sweet. :) Sophia didn't know he was going to propose. It was a complete surprise to her.

Sophia lived in Chicago for six months while she attended college, 3 years ago. Then she lived in Australia for a year. (Where she met Chris.) So I asked her about what she thinks about moving and living in another country for a while. Since I'm thinking about doing it for a summer or something while attending college. She said it's definitely an experience and that I should try it. She said it also made her appreciate how good things are back in Sweden. :) She's moving permanently to Australia, with Chris, soon. They're talking about New Years, but aren't sure yet. But she said she might move back to Sweden someday too. :)

Oh, and Happy birthday again to [info]witchy78 !

It's been posted all over the place, including perezhilton.com. It's pretty awesome.

Came back from Gothenburg this morning after spending all day yesterday with Frida celebrating her birthday. We went to play mini golf, which she won :D, ate lunch together and then stopped to have milkshakes at Mc Donald's and stuff. It was some eating and drinking going on there. We went around the city looking in different stores and Frida shopping some stuff. We then went to buy some cheese and wine for Frida's party later that evening. We arrived home at her parents' place an hour before her guests would arrive, so we were in a bit of hurry cause she had to make a chocolate cake. Frida's close family and boyfriend, along with his family, were there. I had a really good time, like I always do though, when I'm with her family. :) We laughed until we cried at some of her dad's funny stories. ;) I gave her two dvd box sets; season 3 of Gilmore Girls and season 3 of Ghost Whisperer. I still have some gifts left to give her that wasn't finished in time, so she'll be getting them later. A couple of you guys on my f-list know what the secret presents are, so don't tell her! Cause she hasn't gotten them yet. *Looks at Lisa and Lonnie* ;) I know you won't though. Just wanted to give you a heads up that she doesn't know yet. You will get them soon enough though, Frida. :D

Speaking of the lovely Lisa [info]xxtornxxapartxx . She gave me these 5 words from a meme that she associated with me. We did this not too long ago, but I'm a sucker for memes.

Reply to this meme by yelling - or typing - "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you. Or explain in the comments. Or not at all.
Lisa's questions for me )

Today is [info]kelbub 's birthday and I want to wish her a big happy birthday! I'm on my way to her soon to celebrate her.

Here's some nice pictures to celebrate the most awesome Frida who I'm very happy to call my best friend. :D

anyone know a good subject line?

I had so much fun at work today. We went to a lake to have some barbeque. Thing is, it was some thunder (though far away) and the rain was basically hanging in the air. We had this grill you can only use once and we couldn't start the damn thing. There were some people on the beach, and even doing some swimming, despite the weather. And they looked over at us trying to start a damn fire. It took us, literally, an hour. S (not Sa) was really stubborn and insisted she would succeed. We tried to help her with opening up the grill a bit to throw in paper and stuff. Along with branches and parts of a paper bag. It just wouldn't start. I even screamed once because a burning piece of toilet paper came flying towards me. Ha ha ha. Then almost an hour later things did slowly start to happen and S was waving her arms like crazy to keep it from going out again. At the same time she was blowing air the entire time too. It looked so damn funny that I laughed and laughed and almost fell over. Tears were streaming down my face and my stomache was hurting like crazy. And when S is standing like that, a group of people that had been swimming, walked past us and looked at S wave her arms, so she looked up at them and said "You don't happen to have some lighter fluid with you?" The way she said it and when she kept doing that, I just lost it. I laughed until I almost keeled over. They just laughed as a response. She finally got it going after burning up all our paper, parts of a paper bag and some branches. And after I was almost attacked by a burning paper, burning my fingers and she burning hers. I had to wash my hands in the lake cause my fingers were black. But we all got our hot dogs. But it was hilarious. Started raining though, so I walked around with my jacket on my head cause I held my own umbrella over one of our kids. I looked like an idiot.

Now for some pictures from the themepark Liseberg we visited (dad, Jenny, Martin and me) this past weekend. These are the photos we bought from the rides Balder and Flumeride. Flumeride is a water ride and Balder is a wooden rollercoaster. And just so you know; in one of the photos from Balder, we always try to do something funny for the camera and I decided to pretend I was sleeping. But I couldn't keep a straight face, so it looked like I'm really enjoying the rollercoaster... :S My family and I laughed our asses off at that photo.

question...

  • Jun. 29th, 2009 at 9:57 PM

I've really started posting a lot lately. Hope you don't mind me spamming your f-lists every day. :D

So my question is; has anyone on my f-list ever been to Italy? I talked to a co-worker today about my trip there in August and she told me that Pompeji isn't very far from Rome and that we should go there. So, does anyone know the best way to get there and exactly how far away it is? Or a good site where you can check for transportation and stuff? Because I love history and culture and both me and my mom would love to see it. We just have to be able to get there. :P I did find out it's outside of Neapel (or Napoli). Would be pretty cool to see the volcano Vesuvius too.

That was more than one question though. :P

My first word was "Look". :P

I just slept 4½ hours. My plan was to sleep 2 hours at the most, but I just ignored my alarm and kept sleeping. Oops?

the heat is making me dumb

  • Jun. 28th, 2009 at 9:45 PM

Seriously. I worked 11 hours today and just got home. And it's been so hot all day. We spent some time in the backyard today and the heat was making me stupid. It was so warm and the sun really glared. I thought I was going to have a heat stroke. I had to sit in the shadows most of the time. I even got sunburned on my arms. But I'm white after my t-shirt, so I'm brown, red and white. Real nice.

Heat also made me really tired. It's been a long and tough day. I thought I was going to fall asleep at the bus stop. Had some time to wait so I called a friend to have someone to talk to for a while. And keep me from falling asleep and spending the night at the bus stop. I've been in a minor bad mood back and forth too. I love that we have beautiful weather, but it's too damn hot. It's going to get hotter tomorrow. Good thing I only have a 4 hour morning shift. After that I'll head straight home and sleep in a dark apartment. (My shift starts at 6.30 am and I got off my shift tonight at 8.30 pm. Yay?)

So I need to head to bed pretty soon. Just gonna eat some more. I'm going to update with the Liseberg photos and a video from there that dad filmed of my brother and me.

What is your favorite site for listening to music online?

View other answers

It's not actually a site, but I really like Spotify. They have a lot of songs on there.

Came back from Gothenburg this afternoon after having a fantastic time there with my dad, stepmom and brother. Now I'm heading to bed though cause I work all day tomorrow. I'll post the pictures from some of the rides we went on. I was supposed to do something funny, but it ended up looking like something else. And it was really funny.

RIP Michael Jackson

Was met by the news as soon as I turned on the computer this morning. I was stunned when I heard about it. My thoughts go out to his entire family.

megan fox, every guy's dream

  • Jun. 25th, 2009 at 10:33 PM

I went and saw the new Transformers movie today with my younger brothers. I liked it and it had some pretty funny parts where I laughed out loud. It was a little too long though. When the movie was over I had issues walking and my pants were stuck to my legs. That can just be me being old and sweaty though. ;) Just kidding. In Megan Fox's first scene, not just one, but several guys made sighing noises, actual dreamy ones, and made general noises that showed how gorgeous they think she is. And yeah, she's pretty gorgeous. Is there any guy who doesn't find her attractive? Even my dad asked before the movie; "Is that the one with Megan Fox in it? Who was voted the sexiest?". Lol

I'm so easily amused too. Before the movie started and right after they'd shown previews, an employee came in to say what movie was about to play and asking us to clean up after ourselves. (They do this almost at every screening.) And she said; "You're about to watch the new Transformers movie." and one guy (there was a group of guys behind us that were talking a lot and making jokes throughout commercials and previews) then said, "This isn't the old movie?" And I laughed. Yeah, not the funniest thing ever, but funny nonetheless. Guess it was the way he said it too.

I finally got my pants for summer. Thanks to my mom who bravely faced the scary attic infested with the evil moths. (I might be a tad sarcastic.) She said the moth wasn't there anymore and she came down with my pants. I made sure to check them all so it wasn't inside the clothes. I'm moth paranoid. She also made me dinner and helped me with my dishes. I have a very nice mom. :D

Tomorrow I'm heading to my second home; Gothenburg. It's starting to feel like it, at least. But this time I'm going with dad, Jenny and Martin. Martin and I are going to Liseberg while dad and Jenny do something else. We're staying at a hotel and going home Saturday. We're also eating out at a restaurant. So that's gonna be a lot of fun. And I might need it cause I have a lot of work coming up. I'm working four weekends in a row. I counted the hours for my whole summer schedule and I have 315,5 hours. I have 286,5 hours left to work. Yes, I was bored when I calculated this.

When was the last time you stayed up all night? What were you doing?

View other answers

Well, it wasn't because I wanted to. I need to sleep every night cause it's not good for me to stay up 24/7. I think it was when we went to/back from the US in March. But I think I managed to sleep a little bit on the plane home. I know for sure I was up 27 hours when we went to Vancouver. I was almost hallucinating from tiredness.

a meme

  • Jun. 24th, 2009 at 8:16 PM

Totally snagged this from [info]xxtornxxapartxx  because I'm sneaky. And because I was sneaky I'm doing the meme about her. Heh.

Dear [info]xxtornxxapartxx

Our romance is over. When I threw up in your sock drawer outside of your office and you ignore my boyfriend. You're so emotional that your smell makes me vomit. I'm giving back your false teeth but I'm keeping the results of that blood sample. Get sick when I think of your feet, your cucumber fetishism is weird.

Greetings to your frog Leonard,

Jessica

this is ridiculous

  • Jun. 24th, 2009 at 1:00 PM

It's hot out and I'm also melting in my apartment. It seems like my shorter pants, for summer, is up in the attic. I went up there to check and there was a huge moth, and I'm not exaggerating, sitting on the wall opposite my storage space. I yelled, loudly, took my box with me and ran out. So I'm heading to work wearing jeans because I'm too scared to go up there while that ugly thing is sitting next to my storage, of all places. Sometimes I really hate that they scare me like this. They force me to wear jeans! :S

Maybe I should try and you know, cure my phobia, but I really can't do it. I actually cry if they're near me and I might pass out if I have to expose myself to those scary ass things. :S

What's even more annoying is that they're probably sitting on my clothes up there. I'll bring them down and they'll fly out in my apartment. Yes, I have visions of that happening.

Off to work in clothes that are too warm. Moth 1 - Jess - 0.

frisbees are very scary

  • Jun. 17th, 2009 at 8:06 PM

So, I came back from Gothenburg a few hours ago after spending a day there visiting Frida. We had decided to see My Bloody Valentine at the movies because we wanted to see it properly (the downloaded version sucked and we basically just saw the dude's lamp on his hat through the whole movie) and with 3D. And we didn't even know certain stuff, or even people, had been in the movie until we saw it with proper lighting. Lol Anyway, I thought 3D was really cool and I agree with Frida that they should make more movies in 3D. In Jensen's first scene, a few girls behind us said, "He's so hot!" Damn right he is! :D Ha ha.

Now for what was the scariest thing in the entire movie, apparently. Frida screamed when the pickaxe came flying towards us, which is, you know, normal. But when they're chased by the murderer in the grocery store and were fighting with him, a frisbee came flying all of a sudden and this is my reaction; I scream and take cover by shielding my face. That's not really normal. Lol But Frida and I started laughing because of my reaction. I just wasn't prepared for it so it scared the crap out of me when it came flying all of a sudden. So, just so you know, frisbees can be very scary and dangerous. ;P At least in my world, it seems.

Except watching beautiful Jensen on the big screen and getting scared shitless by plastic objects, we also went to have dinner at Mc Donald's and watched some Danneel episodes of One Tree Hill. I'd never watched a full episode of One Tree Hill before. And I'm not going to start. It's just for Danneel. :P But some episodes did get my interest that I haven't seen.

We went shopping today before I had to head home. Frida's boyfriend's birthday is coming up so she bought some presents for him and some things for herself. I even bought a bag for myself. It's blue and shiny. Which is all it takes for me to like it. ;)

I've started wearing my mouthpiece. Feels a little weird but hopefully it'll work. I dreamt all night that I couldn't get it out. :P Then I dreamt about Todd Stashwick starring in a movie my brother was making. Random much?

Here's some pictures of me and Frida from yesterday and today.

Nice 3D glasses, right? Lol
